What is the QZone Compliant® Program?

The Qzone Compliant® Program is a systematic, risk based noise assessment program providing a unique, effective and worry-free way to assure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Why participate?

The profile and reputation of your organization will be enhanced among those living nearby, or affected by, noise emissions from your industrial operations.

Improving these relationships could also result in greater acceptance of future projects and reduce delays due to lengthy and costly dispute resolution processes including the need for public hearings.

Program Overview

The Qzone Compliant® Program should be considered as a fundamental part of any company’s existing Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policy and can be seen as integral to the realization of Corporate Social Responsibility strategies.

Utilizing metrics based both on internal corporate requirements and mandated environmental regulations, Qzone produces a comprehensive noise audit with our Strategic Tool for Assessing Risk. The STAR model will classify and rank all your facilities to determine which facilities are at risk of non-compliance and community dissatisfaction.

Compliance Testing:

Compliance testing utilizes detailed equipment, facility, regulatory and resident information to provide a risk-based classification for each facility. Noise emission problem sources are quickly identified through this testing phase and facilities are prioritized by their level of environmental impact and risk of regulatory non-compliance.

When a facility is found to be Qzone Compliant® with the mandatory elements, a Noise Impact Assessment Report and Certificate of Compliance is issued. The facility will then be put on a risk-based recertification schedule for future review.

Mitigation Phase:

If a facility fails any part of the compliance test, the Noise Impact Assessment Report will include a second Phase dealing with the failure analysis. The Report will detail the source and reason for the failure including any potential noise mitigation solutions that might be implemented to return the facility to compliance.

Following mitigation, a second compliance test will be conducted to confirm all requirements have been met and the facility is Qzone Compliant®. A Certificate of Compliance will be issued and a recertification schedule established.

When compliance has been confirmed, participants in the Qzone Compliant® Program may affix the Noise Solutions Inc. Compliance Certificate to their facility and any related documentation, indicating to staff, shareholders and residents that compliance with all regulatory standards has been met.
