Engineering Designer/ Drafter-

Did you know Noise Solutions Inc. has figured out the science behind silence? It's incredible technology that has been developed by an amazing team of individuals who have built what Noise Solutions is today.

We are now searching for a Lead Engineering Designer/ Drafter who will provide overall design concepts and details for core product lines, to enhance existing products and enable the timely development of new product lines and innovations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales, customers, management, research and development and design.
  • Develop concept drawings as a first step to new products.
  • Work closely with Sales to provide preliminary design to support quotes and proposals.
  • Prepare detailed manufactured drawings for noise suppression equipment.
  • Coordinate detailed design and installations with Project Management.
  • Assist the development of the Noise Solutions catalogue and supporting techincal details.
  • Develop detailed material lists.
  • Assist with on-site measurements - will require occasional travel.
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with Sales, Project Management and Manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience in a similar role (junior to intermediate).
  • Computer literate, especially Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.
  • SAIT or NAIT techincal diploma or equivalent design program.
  • Ability to independantly develop viable solutions to design problems.
  • Strong interpersonal, telephone and communication skills.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Analytical skills for technical documents.
  • Dynamic, motivated self-starter that can work independantly and as part of a team.
  • Positive, dynamic, can-do attitude eager to solve problems and foster an upbeat work environment.
  • Flexibility to provide preliminary and detailed design and drawings based on varying levels of detail to come from clients and the field.
  • Sheet metal experience with structural or HVAC systems beneficial.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas or previous design and drafting experience an asset.
  • Familiarity with basic math and sciences - ability to perform back pressure calculations and design and size equipment to handle specified airflows.

Noise Solutions Manufacturing company in Delburne with long term contract has openings for manufacturing workers for metal building fabrication. The successful applicant may be: Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker, Apprentice Welder, Forklift operator, fabrication worker, or any combination of these skills. We are a small, close-knot shop with above average pay and excellent benefits, looking for long-term committed team members willing to work overtime.
